About Us

Netpoint was started by Anthony Hunter 11 years ago as an Internet Service Provider. His career started as a Cobol programmer in the corporate world and along the way included many years as a support specialist on ICL's VME operating system, ending up as Software Support Manager of a large Insurance company.

Experience on corporate Unix and the connectivity of various Operating Systems and applications was gained as a corporate consultant over a period of four years.

This background of support and technical expertise has provided Netpoint with the foundation to provide solutions and levels of support required by our customers.

In the mid nineties with the explosion of the Internet and the availability of a Unix
based operating system, Linux, which could run on Intel based machines resulted in Netpoint providing products and services available on this Open Source platform.

Yusrah Losper joined Netpoint shortly after and was initially trained on support for our Dial-Up clients. She progressed to being trained on Linux as a support specialist and now currently is our Office Manageress.

Carolyn Carolessen joined Netpoint over six years ago as a Receptionist and soon started helping out on our accounting system. She now currently manages our accounting department.

The support voice of Netpoint, Romano Crouch, joined Netpoint five years ago. His willingness and understanding of all support issues has seen him flourish in a support role. He has been trained on all facets of support and currently provides support for our ADSL customers and our large base of Linux users as well as configuring of Linux servers.

Recently we have been joined by Zahir Galant, a Linux and VoiP (Voice-over-IP)
specialist. Zahir has fitted our plans perfectly to grow our skills base and to increase our product range available on the Linux platform.

Paul Rooy and Richard Smith are also fairly new at Netpoint. Both are involved in sales
